Stamtafel Noord-Brabant

On the first thursdayevening every month there is in Breda a CX-regular table. It started in Breda, and now there are three, where members of the Dutch Honda CX-V club meet, drink coffee of someting else, share stories, and sometimes bring spareparts for someone else.
'Veluwe', the last wednesday every month in Nieuw Milligen is 'my own' regular table, only 30 km away from Ede. And in Schagen is the table 'Noord Holland' where some CX-ers fronm that region meet. There are a few that try to attend every table, but until now I had only visited 'Veluwe' on a regular basis, and 'Noord Holland' briefly, and that last one was without the motor.

CX-rider Grietje N. had her birthday, but also one of my sons, and they both dicided to have a small party on saturday. To bad for Grietje, but I stayed at home. But that thursday evening I had no other obligations, so the oil was checked, the lights controlled, at I took of ot Breda, Grietjes regular table.
According to the traffic infi there was some concestion on the A27, and the A12 between Ede and Veenendaal was again under construction. Therefore I drove across the small roards of the 'Binnenveld' to Rhenen, and at Kesteren I took the A15. It was a good choice.
Until Gorichem there was some traffic, not much an dit was quit. But it changed at Gorichem, where I had to change to the A27. 'One kilometre slow' was the warning on the displays. But that slow traffic moved steadely with about 40-50 kph. After a few kilometres it went smoother, but up to Raamdonksveer I kept my lane, completly happy with my place on the road. After Raamdonksveer it went on over the A59, where I first made a tankstop. Next was the exit Terheijden, and I was getting close. The TomTom sent me through corners and streets, until at last, in the middle of nowwhere, just outside the city borders of Breda, I found the Texasbar. And inside the Texasbar I found the regular table 'Noord-Brabant' and it was a warm welcome.
Griteje and Werner, Cosmar, Joost and Antoon, Willem and a name I did forget. Coffee, talking and laughing, time went by so quick....

... regeular table 'Noord Brabant' ...

Before I left I knew that it wat most likely that I arrived home when it was dark, for Ede-Breda is more than 75 minutes, with my driving style. And that would be a new experience, on the CX. But I didn't want to laeve to late.
At a quarter past nine I started the journey home. It was not so easy to free the "Red Rascal" between the cars and motors, but I got it out. The way back looked simple, and out Breda I drove into the direction of the A59. I was significant cooler and I didn't had a sweather or someting with me. But the Polaris fairing was a great help, and behind that huge windscreen I sat relaxed. Raamdanksveer, that A27, towards Gorichem. Than a choice: A27, or A15. I followed the A27, and while the twilinght gave way to the dark I rode at Utrecht from the A27 to the A12. The A12 is illuminatad, that I knew for sure, and I don't know if the A15 is also. And even the last stretch A12, between Veenendaal end Ede is now illuminated, thanks to the recontruction of the A12. At 10:35 I was home, tired, but satisfied with the evening.

Riding at night, across the highway. Another new experience.....
